Moving our Reg Services onto Cx
We (South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils) are in the process of moving our current reg services systems onto Cx (from Idox, Total Mobile and from Ocella). We are using Cx (and Cx Mobile when ready) for Environmental Protection, Food and Workplace Safety, Licensing, Waste, Envirocrime, Community Safety and Private Sector Housing (so regulatory services). Due to broader internal IT changes beyond our control, we now have a tight deadline to move onto Cx and are still going through our system build training, so interested to hear from anyone who’s been in the same boat.
Also interested if anyone has ever copied a built system from another LA (with their permission) to form the basis of their own Cx system?
We have also been told Civica may be able to provide us with a part-built Cx system? Anyone else gone down this route?
Finally, we have a highly developed mobile working solution that 95% of our Food and Workplace Safety currently used. This needs to be recreated this mobile working solution work in Cx Mobile. Anyone else developing this too?
Any advice or experiences people can share would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Simon Hill (simon.hill@southandvale.gov.uk)

Hi Simon
We have been live with Cx for nearly 2 years now and will happily provide you with some help. I am aware that Civica did take a copy of our config and probably some others to try and develop a basic config.
I'm on leave next week and will be back on the 17th Feb so if you drop me an email to nick.kelly@cheshireeast.gov.uk I will come back to you when I return. From experience it would be best to set up a Teams meeting as then I can show you our system and help if you are stuck with anything. We have gone live with everything apart from the Housing Module and don't have the mobile app.
Thanks
Nick
