FHRS data fields
Hi all
Just querying if anyone has had issues with uploading FHRS data recently? It looks as if the FHRS fbo field and the occupier name field have switched, when searching for business name on FHRS website, its pulling up occupier name field rather than FHRS fbo. Have there been any changes?
Also wondered how local authorities are dealing with 1 premises register and they have multiple trading names, which they want to be displayed on various online platforms ie Uber eats, Deliveroo - any advice would be appreciated.

No knowledge of the FHRS uploads side of things, I'm afraid - they keep me away from that.
I posted last year about dark kitchens, which follow the type of model you describe with multiple trading names in a single industrial unit and no public access. We've set up a header PRU record for each industrial unit that follows this model (and where alcohol or late night refreshment is involved, the premises licence is recorded against this header record), then linked an extra PRU to it for each subsequent trading entity that gets registered. The registrations, ratings, etc for each trading name are logged separately on the subsidiary PRUs so that they can be uploaded separately to the national register, but the usage codes indicate to our food inspecting officers that its within a dark kitchen that has already been inspected, so they can check the linked records and plan their inspection accordingly. It's by no means ideal, but it was the best we could come up with when the issue first appeared here - I'd also love to hear if anyone has come up with a killer way of handling these!
(aside: there was a surprisingly interesting (well, for tech nerds like me 😎) program on BBC2 last night about the various technologies, algorithms and engineering required to make Deliveroo work - worth looking up "The Secret Genius of Modern Life" on BBC iPlayer if anyone's interested)
