Presentation - Communicating with APP
Hi all, just sharing the presentation I gave at the July 2020 online meeting where we whizzed through some methods we use here at Torfaen to communicate using APP.
We have started to expand this in Licensing by sending out some of our reminders using the conditional method (email or post) and have also used some of Mark Parry's tricks to identify on the document if it was sent by post or email (with the relevant address shown). Still a work in progress, and we would like to run these as a batch job if possible in the future, thus saving even more time!

I've set it up with a UDW checkbox on the PRU record, if ticked then it goes out as an email with a PDF attachment, otherwise PDF files are saved to a directory (one per PRU) - all within the single PRR export. As we run a digital post room (which has proved very useful in these pandemic times...!), when the run has finished the officer just forwards any PDF files to the post room for printing and posting.
