During the recent COP26 conference world leaders set out their commitment to tackle climate change - signing up to reduce emissions, safeguard forests and tackle methane.

But it will be local councils that have a bigger part to play to drive action in their local communities. The LGA has found that more people trust councils to tackle climate change in their local area. With the right funding they will be able to achieve an ambitious programme of climate change activity.
